ROBERTS, Allen James

Allen James "Dubby" Roberts, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, on January 30, 2023, at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 86. Allen will be forever remembered and loved by his wife Jean of 65 years. Loving father of Carolyn Madill (Robert), cherished grandfather of Holly Pozzobon (Kevin) and Adam Madill, and great grandfather of Sloane Pozzobon. Allen was a retired employee of the St. Catharines - Hydro Commission. He became a member of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Board (OMERS) in 1977 and would later serve as Vice Chairman from 19791980 and Chairman in 1981. He was also a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Dalhousie and a former member of the Twenty Valley Golf & County Club. Funeral service to be determined at a later date. In memory of Allen and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. In keeping with Allen's wishes, cremation has taken place.
